Robert Djerejian AIA

Robert Djerejian is currently serving as senior consultant to HLW International.  As Senior Managing Partner of HLW International, Mr. Djerejian has been responsible for establishing the firm’s international operations worldwide.  HLW International is a multi-disciplined architectural, engineering, planning, and interior design organization established in 1885 and is the largest integrated professional design firm in the New York area.  The headquarters office in New York coordinates the global offices in London, Shanghai, Dubai, and the national office in Los Angeles.

Robert Djerejian, a graduate of Pratt Institute, School of Architecture first served as Plans and Projects Officer in the US Army Corp of Engineers, joined HLW and became Design Director involved in all phases of design and production for all HLW projects. As architect and planner his projects have earned design awards from the American Institute of Architects, the National Council for the Endowment of Arts, the New York Society of the American institute of Architects, and the US Postal Service.  He is the recipient of honors including Architect of the Year by the Association of Contractors.  He is frequently engaged as speaker to executives in various industry groups and universities here and abroad.

Major projects have included NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, IBM Manufacturing and Research Buildings, Corporate Headquarters for American Reinsurance and Xerox Corporation Research facilities, US Trust Company Office, US Postal Service Centers and Maintenance Facility NYC, AT&T Communication Centers, Family Court of NYC, Keio High School NY, Hallmark Headquarters and Commercial High School mixed use NYC, Mercedes Benz of NA NYC, and the World Financial Center NYC.

International clients include ARAMCO Medical Facilities, Prince Sultan City for Humanitarian Services, Kingdom Medical Center, Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia, American University of Beirut Medical Center and College Hall, Agricultural Research Center Nigeria, Kuwait Chamber of Commerce, Headquarters Korean Pension Fund, Seoul, and in Shanghai, Ciros Headquarters Center, and Taibo Mixed Use Complex.

Mr. Djerejian serves on the Board of Trustees of Pratt Institute, is a Board Member of Fonar Corporation, a Founding Director of the Delaware College of Art and Design, and on the Board of Advisors for the Consortium for Advancement of Building Sciences at Penn State.
